The hotel has a great location with beautiful views from the terrace, but the area around it feels quite industrial. The service was exceptional, with helpful staff ready to assist with reservations. The rooms, while unique, had a few cleanliness issues and were a bit chilly. Dining was a highlight, featuring a fantastic breakfast, though we didn't have dinner at the hotel.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, as the rooms were spacious and well-decorated with beautiful views over the Charente. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure my dining needs were met. However, I found the location a bit inconvenient for accessing local amenities on foot. The dining experience could also use some improvement, particularly at breakfast, which was somewhat underwhelming given the price.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortably decorated with period furniture, offering superb views over the Charente.
Service

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing a customized menu for me and ensuring I had what I needed.
Location

The hotel's location is a bit tricky if you plan to walk to local bars or restaurants, as it is next to a busy side road.
Dining

Although the dining options were good, I found the breakfast a bit disappointing and opted to visit a local patisserie instead.

I really enjoyed my stay at this charming hotel, especially because of its excellent location close to Cognac and the picturesque vineyards around. The rooms have a quaint vibe that fits well with the old building, and the staff was friendly and professional even during a busy time. However, it could get a bit tricky to find someone to serve drinks, especially at the bar. Overall, I felt it offered great value for money with its amenities, though dining was a little on the pricier side.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were quaint and really suited the character of the old building, making for a comfortable and unique stay.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and very helpful, but at times it felt like they were a bit stretched, making it hard to get a drink at the bar.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from beautiful Cognac and surrounded by stunning vineyards.
Dining
6.0
Dining felt a bit chaotic, kind of like a rugby scrimmage trying to get food from a small self-service setup, and it was somewhat pricey.
Facilities
7.0
I appreciated the variety of cognacs available, but the bar and refreshment service could definitely improve.

I had a lovely stay at this charming hotel which beautifully combines old-world charm with modern comforts. The rooms are spacious and unique, offering fantastic views, although they seem to be a bit disconnected from the rest of the hotel’s vibe. The location is superb, close to the scenic river and vineyards, but the dining experience could use some improvement. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but with some hiccups in service and dining that kept it from being perfect.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spacious and quirky, each showcasing local artists' work and decorated with period furniture. I particularly loved the large en-suite and the great views through the many windows.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, but at times they seemed a bit stretched thin, making it hard to get a drink in the bar.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is excellent, right near the picturesque river Charente and surrounded by beautiful vineyards, yet still quiet and close to the center of Cognac.
Dining
5.0
I was not impressed with the dining options, as breakfast was quite limited and overpriced at €19 per person, so I opted for a local patisserie instead.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has a character and charm, but the overall facilities could use an upgrade to match the modern comfort of the rooms.

My stay at this hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, offering a nice view of the garden and the River Charente. I appreciated the friendly service from the staff, but the location was a bit mixed since it’s near the industrial area and somewhat far from the town center. Dining was a bit on the pricey side for what was offered, but everything else, like facilities, was satisfactory.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were clean and spacious, overlooking the garden and the River Charente. They had a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly and unobtrusive, always professional. They made sure to use seasonal ingredients for the evening meal, which I really appreciated.
Location
7.0
The location had its pros and cons; it's on the outskirts of Cognac which offered a nice view of the vineyards, but it was also quite industrial around the town. The area can get slippery when wet, so be careful.
Dining
6.0
Dining was a bit pricey at €19 per person, but the traditional French buffet looked nice. I didn’t eat dinner there, so I can't speak for that, but the morning offerings could be improved.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were decent; everything was well-maintained and met my needs during the stay.
Clean and spacious rooms
Location somewhat industrial
